Marah J. Hardt: Sex in the Sea
Kick-off your Valentine’s Day early with a fun and thought-provoking afternoon with Dr. Marah J. Hardt, scientist, storyteller, and author of Sex in the Sea: Our Intimate Connection with Sex-Changing Fish, Romantic Lobsters, Kinky Squid, and Other Salty Erotica of the Deep. Through stories about elaborate mating rituals of armored lobsters, giant right whales engaging in lively threesomes whilst holding their breath, and the full moon sex parties of groupers, Hardt connects the inventive sex acts of marine life with sustainability of the oceans. Dive in to where sex first began, and find out why it matters that we might be causing some serious coitus interruptus in the deep blue sea. Talk followed by question and answers with the audience and book signing.
