Leonardo vs. Michelangelo
7812 Girard Avenue, San Diego, 92037
Cost: Free
Historical fiction about the real-life rivalry between Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. While living and working in Florence at the same time, the artists drove each other to greatness — while Leonardo was painting the Mona Lisa, Michelangelo was carving the David just down the street. Oil and Marble is the story of that rivalry.
Stephanie Storey has a degree in Fine Arts from Vanderbilt University and an MFA from Emerson College. She studied art in Italy and went on a pilgrimage to see every Michelangelo work of art on display in Europe.
