Turkey Calling Show
UC San Diego Library's annual Turkey Calling Show takes place in the Seuss Room of Geisel Library at noon on the day before Thanksgiving and is presented in the style of an old-time live radio broadcast, filled with music and "studio audience" participation.
In this fast-paced show you'll get instruction on how to use turkey calls, and find out how the American turkey became popular in European art. Special note: with all due respect to the East Coast turkey, visit us at this show and find out why the West Coast turkey rules!
Hosted by sound-effects expert Scott Paulson and featuring the Teeny-Tiny Pit Orchestra. Special guests coming from various corners of the UC San Diego Library include Aislinn Sotelo as “radio ballet teacher” and Melanie Peters as "story lady." Featuring voice actor Glen Motil and musicians Christian Hertzog and Kirk Wang.
