Bernie Worrell's legacy with Parliament-Funkadelic includes writing or co-writing “Flash Light” and “One Nation Under A Groove,” as well as the percussive piano runs of “Chocolate City” and “Give Up the Funk.”
His contributions to albums outside the P-Funk canon include the Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense and Public Image Ltd’s Album, and he's worked with Keith Richards, Yoko Ono, Bootsy Collins, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Mos Def, Sly & Robbie, Deee-Lite, Bill Laswell, and more.
Worrell recently digitally released two songs, “BWO is Landing” and “Get Your Hands Off,” co-produced with Evan Taylor and the first tracks by his current band, Bernie Worrell Orchestra.
The bill also includes Naked Funk.
