Day of Translational Science
Join us for a free symposium featuring more than a dozen experts in translational science, the science of transforming medical and scientific discoveries into improved health, treatments for disease, and advanced medical devices.
The UC San Diego Clinical and Translational Research Institute will host keynote speaker George Koob, director of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, as well as faculty, researchers, and students for three moderated panels. Topics will range from personalized approaches to breast cancer to developing medication for alcoholism and wireless blood pressure monitoring for kidney disease. The free symposium is open to all and will include a lunch.
