The Children’s Discovery Garden has been transformed for fall, and every Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., visitors can experience the Family Pumpkin Patch with the price of general admission (free for members; $3-6 child and adult admission).
The Garden will "feature a straw bale maze surrounded by pumpkins and sunflowers, corn and pumpkins are growing in our own pumpkin patch," Rebecca Greene, executive assistant and marketing coordinator for The Children's Discovery Museum, told me.
"Every day at the Museum we have pumpkin decorating and on Saturday’s we feature a hands-on gardening program. Parents can expect to gain knowledge of different aspects of cultivating their own home garden and enjoy live bluegrass music," Greene added.
On October 27, the Museum will offer a demonstration called "Beneficial Insects in Your Garden" from 10 a.m. to noon.
