Political MoneyLine, a publication allied with Roll Call, says that Stephen and Susan Polis Schutz of SPS Studios in La Jolla found a way to ante up a bundle to their son, Rep. Jared Polis, D.-Colorado. In a recently-filed midyear report, according to MoneyLine, each Schutz gave $37,600 to the Jared Polis Majority Fund 2012. They were the only contributors in the first six months of this year. The Congressman set up the committee as a joint fundraising committee for his own committee, Friends of Jared Polis, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. The joint committee sent $10,000 to the Friends of Jared Polis and $63,500 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Rep. Polis gets $10,000 and is credited with raising $63,500 for the Democratic campaign committee.
