San Diego area home values rose 1.3% in November, topping the nation's 0.6%, according to Zillow.com figures released this morning (Dec. 19). San Diego's year over year gain of 7.3% also beat the nation's 5.2%. The median value of a county home is now $366,400, topped among the 30 major markets by only San Jose ($618,000), San Francisco ($517,700), and Los Angeles ($408,900). San Diego's median monthly rent of $2,120 is topped only by these same metro areas.
