Border News Translations: Shooting Death; Taco Vendors Make Daring Rescue
TIJUANA (Frontera) - A man identified as Ruben Ramirez Radilla, 30, was killed last night by gunshot wounds on calles Antonio López de Santa Ana y Miguel Alemán in la citada colonia. According to police information, the crime occurred yesterday around 10 p.m. when they received a report of a person lying on the street. Reaching the area, officers located a man dressed in a blue shirt and pants with firearm injuries to the skull, thorax and abdomen. The victim was declared dead by Red Cross paramedics. Several witnesses reported individuals dressed in dark sweatshirts with CAP logos, fled in a black Honda sedan, so police began a search operation in the area. Three subjects were located corresponding to the characteristics described by the witnesses on calle Misión de Santo Tomás del fraccionamiento Kino. The detainees were identified as Ramón Alberto Vargas Huerta, 30; Julio César González Ramírez, 22; and Fernando Zamora Arreaga, 23.
TIJUANA (Frontera) - Christian Cruz Enriquez, 33, was arrested by the Municipal police, for assaulting two young men near fraccionamiento Residencial del Bosque, de la delegación La Presa. The victims, one a minor, were on the road when a suspect in the company of the other subjects threatened to stab them with a weapon. According to information provided by the authorities, the men in a green Honda stripped them of 300 pesos ($26), personal documents and a cell phone, in addition to hitting them repeatedly. However, taco vendors watching the assault came to their aid, which is why the suspects fled. The Municipal police carried out a search operation and located Cruz Enriquez, however they did not find the belongings of the aggrieved nor the accomplices.
