New desert power plant could ease stress of continued San Onofre shutdown

The Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillmaman Bridge that crosses the Colorado River is open now. The bridge came in at $240E6, is 1900 feet long and 890 feet above the river. It is just ahead of the Hoover Dam. The Dam was build and finished in 1935. It took 21,000 workers to build it and cost &$165E6.
