An End
Hello Duncan: When I was a UCSD senior in 1972, I signed up for a film class. You were a TA and Manny Farber was the professor. In all honesty, my motivation at the time was only to earn some units and take an interesting class, but that quarter prepared me for my lifetime (so far) appreciation of the artistry of film-making. I remember Manny driving around in an old Checker cab. I, too, loved the Unicorn Theatre with its free popcorn and great venue. Ahh - those were the days. Anyway, please accept my condolences for the loss of your friend. Although I've been circling like a very distant satellite, the gravitational pull of those long ago days has been an ongoing powerful presence in my life. Tina Kafka— September 3, 2008 11:52 a.m.
