It's the wrecking ball for Point Loma's Dolphin Motel
I will miss this piece of SD history. I first stayed here a few years ago when I began to revisit SD and old family friend. She will be 92 this year. We lived up on Pt Loma next to the old Cal Western U. I love this location across from the sport fishing boats and Mitch's fish tacos. I always take an early morning drive up Hill Street to the National Cemetery on Pt Loma to watch the sunrise and then down the hill to Village Kitchen for Huevos Rancheros. OB hasn't changed - thank God, but so much of SD has. It used to be that everybody knew everybody and things moved pretty slow. I know that this place is considered less than...but for me it was a step back in time to the days when the ferry still ran to Coronado (lived there, too) and OB,PB and La Jolla were still pretty quiet beach towns. Where will I go now??? http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2018/j…— June 26, 2018 2:26 p.m.
