Charley Miller, is an award winning local actor/director best known for his portrayal of Groucho Marx from ages 15 to 85 in the musical biography “Groucho: A Life in Revue” along with his critically acclaimed, multi-personality performance of “Mr. Renfield” in “Dracula” and for directing the stunning revival of the Odet classic “Awake & Sing!” winning both best production and best director. He has also been featured in a number of independent short films including: Flip: A New Short Film, Surreality, Fun Quest and Nine Beers & a Shot.
Originating from Los Angeles he has studied at CSUN, CSUF, LAPCC, and AADA receiving his degree in 1998. Privately he has studied under Boyd Bodwell, Madonna Young Magee, Susan Clark, Gavin McCloud, and Kaye Ballard. He has been described as having “an encompassing energy that motivates and stimulates both the audience and his fellow actors.”
From an early age he has always had a desire to assist and help people improve themselves and their skills by offering hands-on guidance and support. He has been an active private instructor since 1994 contracted for the City of Chula Vista, Mad Science of San Diego, guest director/speaker at Southwestern College and Los Angeles Pierce College.
