A Snail and a Plane at Night
I love the footage of the snail. It's very zen like.— April 27, 2009 9:37 p.m.
NOISE
I am from New York where over 63 languages have been spoken since we were the New Netherland colony. The variety of languages and cultures has only enhanced the city and state economically and culturally. In this global economy, it is a benefit to know more than one language. California has a rich indigenous history and was part of Mexico before becoming part of the United States. Chinese came to pan for gold as early as 1849 and were originally welcomed by the mayor of San Francisco. Many ethnic groups have contributed to California's rich culture, history, and economy. I was disappointed to read your post. This limited view of what it means to be American will not serve our country well in the twenty first century. May I remind you of our Constitution: "We, the people of the United States,in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity..." Note: PEOPLE, there are no conditions attached.— April 16, 2009 12:49 p.m.
