La Jolla Architect Disciplined
Hello, This is Scott Spencer writing to offer a response to the above Bauder Article, and comments. Its is all true, but with explanations. I had an original Calif. Architectural license that expired for failure to re-new it. Years ago I moved locations in my Business and home both, and was never aware that it had expired. The Board could not effectively contact me. MY MISTAKE. I paid the fines, and applied for re-licensure. Re-Licensure is a rigourous process. Re-take exams, undergo scrutiny by the enforcement board, admit guilt and wrongdoing, submit to some administrative fines, etc. It took three solid years on intense work. BUT......in the end I have my License back and in good standing with the Board. In this process I held a cordial and professional relationship with the Licensing Board in Sacramento, as well as their enforcement offices. I must say that they helped me greatly, and I appreciate that. I am now an expert on what not to do, and how to resolve it.— July 14, 2012 4:02 p.m.
