College Rocks
I went on a Thursday night, assuming cover would be cheap, if there was any at all. (We tried to call, but the # listed on their website was disconnected.) They tried to charge us $20!!! We "negotiated" down to $10 - still a rip off, but there were supposed to be drink specials. We went in - there were 2 people on the dance floor - walking across it. We moved on to the bar for our $1 Bud drafts - not a special I was thrilled about, but I was looking for a cheap Thursday night and I can do Bud once in awhile. The bartender informed us that the specials had been cancelled. (Are you kidding me?!) We went to the door immediately to get our money back and move on. The owner wouldn't refund our money. Even his own employees didn't seem too excited about backing him up. We caused a small ruckus outside, so he tried to negotiate by un-cancelling the special, but said we weren't going to get our $10 back no matter what. Had the guy offered to refund our money AND honor the special, we would have gone in, loved our night, and talked up the place afterwards because the owner was such a good, upstanding businessman. But here I am, writing my first online review in 24 years of life as a testament to my extreme dissatisfaction with this establishment. DON'T GO!— September 4, 2009 2:40 p.m.
