Firehouse American Eatery and Lounge
As I was enjoying the day on the deck with 8-10 friends, as people were coming and going, I was notified by the "manager" that we would have to leave. He had told us that they were as patient with us as long as they could be and that we had been there three hours. Unknown to us the firehouse has a two hour table limit during busy hours. No one mentioned this to us when we sat down. This "manager" closed our tab and handed us our check. The poor waitress who was bringing our table double tall rounds every chance she could get was so nice and apologetic. What "manager" would kick out a table to 10 with a $380 running tab just so a couple could sit down and eat a grilled cheese sandwich and a coke. This place is so hung up on it's self it is ridicules. You want to cater to the tourist, then go ahead. However, the rest of the year when you are wondering where all the locals are, we will be at the bars and restaurants that know how to treat people. Thanks "manager" with the nice little black buttons in your ears loved you as the gay brother in Wedding Crashers!— August 15, 2008 7:54 a.m.
