Ex-CPA Anton Ewing visits familiar grounds: court
EWING, ANTON A. San Diego, CA (CPA 83510) CBA ACTIONS Mr. Ewing's Federal conviction. Stay away orders were issued for Mr. Ewing's victims. Mr. Ewing was ordered to obtain psychological counseling, attend and complete a 52-week stalking program, and pay fees and fines. Effective August 31, 2013 Surrender of CPA license, via stipulated settlement. Mr. Ewing shall pay the CBA $18,742.21 for its investigation and prosecution costs prior to issuance of a new or reinstated license. CAUSE FOR DISCIPLINE First Amended Accusation No. AC-2012-54 contains the following allegations: On or about August 27, 2010, in a criminal proceeding titled United States of America v. Anton Ewing, in United States District Court, Southern District of California, case number 09CR1209-H, the court issued an order accepting Mr. Ewing's plea of guilty to Count 1 of the criminal indictment, conspiracy to conduct enterprise affairs through a pattern of racketeering activity, in violation of Title 18 of the United States Code, section 1962, subdivision (d), a felony. As a result of the conviction, on or about November 19, 2010, the court sentenced Mr. Ewing to the mid-term of two years in State prison, with credit for 969 days, to run concurrent with the sentence issued in Mr. Ewing's Federal conviction. Stay away orders were issued for Mr. Ewing's victims. Mr. Ewing was ordered to obtain psychological counseling, attend and complete a 52-week stalking program, and pay fees and fines. Mr. Ewing failed to report his convictions to the CBA as required. Mr. Ewing has subjected his license to disciplinary action under section 5100(j) of the Business and Professions Code in that he knowingly participated in the preparation, publication, and/or dissemination of false, fraudulent, or materially misleading reports or information to lenders to further a criminal conspiracy.
