PF Sloan & Creed Bratton -- 01/12/13 at AMSDconcerts

P.F. SLOAN is one of the most mysterious, elusive and talented geniuses in music. The 2013 nominee for The Songwriters Hall Of Fame, will be performing at AMSD--the great acoustic venue-- in San Diego on January 12, along with Creed Bratton and Marie Moreshead. http://amsdconcerts.com/ Sloan's appearances are rare and always memorable. From "Eve Of Destruction" to "Secret Agent Man" to "You Baby", Phil's songs helped to influence a generation. As lead guitar for The Mamas and Papas, it was he who came up with the great work on "California Dreamin'". It was Phil who invented The Grass Roots in the studio. P.F. has written hundreds of songs and was a musician on hundreds more. Between 1965 and 1967, he wrote an astounding 45 hits for various artists. Between songs, he will tell stories of "the day" that are as much fun as the music. CREED BRATTON was a member of The Grass Roots--one of the groups that served as 'the soundtrack" of the sixties. As one of the stars of NBC's "The Office", he is among the funniest men on television. His unusual sense of humor is infectious. Combined with his extraordinary and heartfelt lyrics of his new material and his original humor, Creed connects with an audience with shared optimism. He is a wonder and a delight. When Creed takes the stage, it just makes you feel good. With an acoustic guitar in hand, MARIE MORESHEAD has shared the stage with regionally and nationally touring acts including Ray LaMontagne, Sonya Kitchell, and NeedToBreathe. In 2010, she was voted “Best Female Vocalist” in the Portland Phoenix Best Music Poll Awards and was selected as a showcase artist for the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in New York. Moreshead collaborates with producer Doctor Rosen Rosen in their band wanderhouse, and their cover of the classic "Love Hurts," was featured on the CW's show Ringer starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. She currently lives in Los Angeles. I have a seen a show featuring P.F. Sloan, Creed Bratton and Marie Moreshead. It remains on of my favorites. This will certainly be a show not to be missed.
