What is the story behind the Proctor Valley Monster?
Hey Greg, when were you at BVH ?.....my sister who is 4 years younger than me was in the first class there when it opened... I graduated from Hilltop in 66 Now county supervisor Greg Cox was at BVH as a teacher, and funny he remembered my little sis when I gave him and his wife a hard time a few years ago...... And sorry there Greg........ You and your druggie friends didn't start the legend........it started when you were probably in kindergarten....or earlier. I heard of it the first time back around 1960 when we moved to Bonita. Sorry to break your bubble....... By the way, what was in that weed that convinced you to believe and share your story?— August 16, 2016 12:35 p.m.
What is the story behind the Proctor Valley Monster?
Funny that Gregory Mclean apparently fried his brain a bit from the weed and what ever else he was using at that time.....LSD maybe? ... For the record, the legend started long before Bonita Vista High was even built. BVH opened in the late 60's and we heard of the tale in the early sixties when in Jr High school, and those of us who were brave in the mid sixties 64-68 (high school & college days) and took our girl or girls out to park and you know. Anyway, I parked out there with my steady girl friend out there on many occasions during those years mentioned, and that ended when I went into the USAF in late 68. It was a quiet but popular place, others parked there usually a hundred yards or so apart, and even though we heard stories about the PVM, we didn't much believe it and the hormones certainly overrode any fear. During the 2 years at Southwestern between 66-68, we went out there a lot....even chased cows over the hills in our 63 Chevy Pick up.... I hope old Greg there is under some care for his drug damaged head.....— August 16, 2016 12:26 p.m.
