The article doesn't state: Was Jamie discreet in her nursing? If not, then she's not appropriate in her response. If she was, then the restaurant was in error.
I do not care to look at it, and I am on the side of the restaurant. A few years ago, I sat across from a woman who was breastfeeding in the waiting area of a restaurant on Thanksgiving. I am a woman, but I do not want to look at it in a public place. I have been to churches where they had a room attached to the restroom for this purpose. I was fine with it, but not out in the general public.
