The community needs to remember than under Gandara, the district did not lay off any teachers. Under Brand this year, this situation has been a disaster, and has been a bigger disaster than SDCSD or any other district in the county. I'm not sticking up for Gandara, but just pointing out the truth. You can blame Brand, and you can also blame Alex Anguiano and the group of union extremists in the district for making HR and district principals follow a stupid senority spreadsheet, that protects loser teachers. Both are at fault for this crisis, and both actions have caused the quality of education to drop.

This is a public forum. I can take my spin wherever I want, just like the public has a right to take their spin to board meetings. That being said I agree with you about the problems and honest service. I'm saying that Gandara was a more effective sup. compared to Brand because the layoff mess never happened to the full extent it did this year. It's a complete disaster when there are several teachers with more than 2 years in that don't have a full time assignment. And yes, you can blame a small percentage of teachers for bad practices whether they are at a site or at the district office. The majority of the teachers and administrators are effective in the SUHS district. However, Anguiano and his group of union extremist back the awful ones, some of those awful ones being union site reps at their school site. This practice has the administrators hands tied. I know both princpals and teachers in the district who agree that the union extremist group is a liability. It's awful that both Brand and Anguiano's group have allowed this to happen in the district, which has affected thousands in the community, whether they're an employee, student, or parent.

There still dozens of dozens if not hundreds of teachers still layed off or not working full time in SUHSD. Talking to other people in school districts around the county, this is not happening in any other district I know of. Blame Brand and the teachers union. Yes, Gandara might have committed unlawful acts, but the district wasn't as much of a disaster then as it is now.

Mr Brinkley Do you have any life outside of these message boards?

Why didn't you run for any of the two open seats?I guess its easier to sit home all day and and post 10,000 posts a month about the people actually out there trying.

and why do you give Bertha a pass on everything? we all saw the watchdog documents . Ghandara hand picked her and solicited all her money from contractors? to run against mercadoher house was raided ,she is ratting on everyone so for now is not being charged.

try offering some solutions ,or better yet get off your computer and actually doing something about it

How come no one sees how bad of a teachers union sea is? Curious.

I'm not defending Brand of any of this other drama either.
