Plenty of snow in downtown Julian this morning. I flew over at 9 a.m. in a light plane at 8000 feet above sea level, about 2000 feet above the ground, and was mesmerized by the snow on the ground from Jacumba all the way up to Palomar.

There were no cars backed up at the “chain installation" turnout on the Sunrise Highway just north of Interstate 8, and it appeared the roads were all cleared and dry.
