“This is even better than being at home,” I said to David. “The chairs are more comfortable, the sound system’s better. I would totally come here again. Mostly because you can choose your seat in advance — imagine going to the movies without having to show up an hour early...”

“You’ll still show up an hour early,” David said.

“Yeah, but just to find parking and make sure I have enough time to pee. But I won’t be worried, you see? It’s like a huge load off. And that’s well worth the drive and the extra six bucks.”

“I’m thinking we could just get these seats for home,” David said.

“Now you’re talking.” I took another sip. “But you’re going to have to learn how to make this cocktail for me. And this caramel popcorn. I’m thinking we’ll probably have to come here a few more times for you to get the hang of it.”

Laurie H. says: I LOVE that place! I've decided it's the best place in the world to see a movie, especially a new, very popular one. Sure, you have to plan ahead a little to get your tickets, but there's no being trampled by those swifter and ruder (is that a word?) than you are in the mad crush to get seats. I had a particularly bad experience with a Harry Potter movie where we had waited for hours in line to be fifth in line and still ended up in the third row craning our necks because all the little creeps behind us zipped around us as soon as they opened the theater. Never again!
