Reels are headed out to distributors, and McClain is scheduling screenings on request via the film’s website, merlove.com. “And if anyone wants to kick in financially,” he adds, “I’m still offering equity stakes in the movie. A friend of mine did the music — but he needs to make a living, and I can’t afford to pay him any more. Another friend of mine went to France with me and shot the footage over there. He got a free trip to France, but I couldn’t pay him. A lot of people are putting their butts on the line to help this movie be awesome, and it would be a dream come true for me to write checks to all of them.”
