"They were rehearsing at the Fox Studios near Rosarito Beach for two weeks," said an insider, with close access to U2, about the Irish band's activity before they kicked off their U.S. tour last Monday at the Sports Arena. "After their show Monday, they went back to practice for nine hours on Tuesday at the Sports Arena." U2 had a second, sold-out Sports Arena show Wednesday, March 30.
"After their show Monday night, a big silver pickup truck started following their limo back to the hotel. The limo driver had to call another car to block the truck so he would stop chasing the limo. The cops are looking for the guy because he was endangering lives, going 80 miles an hour on the freeway and 60 on the side streets of La Jolla near UCSD."
San Diego Police Department spokesman Dave Cohen said there was no record of police activity.
