God sends a knight (Rainn Wilson) to save a damsel in distress (Liv Tyler). Except he’s not a knight, he’s a pudgy fry cook in a red jumpsuit, wielding a monkey wrench instead of a sword. And she’s not quite a damsel, she’s a relapsed drug addict with more interest in her next hit than in getting saved. Oh, and God is a little sketchy, too. It’s all very modern and miserable (and bloody). But also weirdly, sweetly pure. With Ellen Page, Kevin Bacon. 2011.
