Bioinformatics: Investigating Human Evolution
7555 Draper Avenue, San Diego, 92037
Cost: Free
Bioinformatics is the use of computational methods to understand biological data. It's also a great way for citizen scientists to get involved in the biotechnology revolutions going on right now. In this workshop, we will use publicly available data sets and free online tools to access genomic data and analyse the patterns of human evolution. Bring a laptop if you have one, we only have a limited number to use. Recommended for ages 16-adult. Limit 25. Sign up at lajollalibrary.org/events.
