Open Mic Poetry Night
Back by popular demand, in partnership with the Coronado Scribes Writing Group, the Coronado Library hosts a public coffeehouse-style poetry open mic night. MayorEmeritus Casey Tanaka will emcee the event, and anyone interested in reading their own poetry is invited to share their work. If you‘d like to share your work, [email protected] or 619-522-7390.
In addition to the poets who will be reading, the evening is open to anyone who enjoys listening to poetry or would just like to meet some local writers. Refreshments will be served, and local pianist Mark Danislovszky will perform. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Coronado Library. The Coronado Scribes, formed with the assistance of the Coronado Arts Commission, meets regularly at the library and invites local writers to join the group.
