Water Education and NGSS
1875 El Prado, San Diego, 92101
Age Limit: 18+
Cost: $15 - $20
Water quality and quantity are some of the biggest issues facing humanity today. How can we prepare the next generation of leaders to find solutions to these problems? This workshop will demonstrate environmental lessons that support students understanding of San Diego's waterways, actions to minimize and monitor pollution, and connections between living things and one of our most vital resource, water. Can we support Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards while teaching environmental education? Using real-world problems (i.e. water pollution) we can help students deepen their knowledge and problem-solving skills. Presentation is a partnership between San Diego Coastkeeper and R.H. Fleet Science Center.
