Ernest Miller: The Edible Gold Rush
Culinary Historians of San Diego will present The Edible Gold Rush, featuring Ernest Miller, in the Neil Morgan Auditorium. Miller will explain how, while gold brought a brief boom to California, the fruit industry brought lasting prosperity. The area that provides most of our bounty was once regarded by experts as useless desert, but visionaries saw profit and security in that land.
Ernest Miller is a chef, historian, educator, consultant, and speaker who teaches classes in museums, schools and kitchens throughout Southern California.
