Join us aboard a large sportfishing boat for an excursion in the productive waters just off San Diego. Each trip will have a number of helpful, knowledgeable leaders who know the local area and its seabirds and marine mammals. We will visit areas such as the 9-Mile Bank and the Coronado Escarpment and will see birds not usually visible from shore.
Species highlights: Scripps's Murrelet, Northern Fulmar, Black-Vented, Pink-Footed and Sooty Shearwaters, Brown Pelican, Double-Crested and Brandt's Cormorants, Red Phalarope, Pomarine and Parasitic Jaegers, Cassin's and Rhinoceros Auklets, Royal Tern, gulls (Bonaparte's, Heermann's, Western, California, and Herring).
