El Niño, Climate Change, and You
301 Caspian Way, Imperial Beach, 91932
Cost: Free
El Niño is a major oceanic climate phenomena that can drastically influence California's seasonal rainfall outlook. This year the media had everyone preparing for large winter storm events, but in spite of a record-setting El Niño we had below-average rainfall. We will discuss why this might have happened and how to temper expectations in the future. Guest speaker: Dillon Amaya, Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
