Latino Americans: 500 Years of History
330 Park Boulevard, San Diego, 92101
Cost: Free
Latino Americans is the first major documentary series for TV to chronicle the history of Latinos in the U.S. This episode shows how a generation of Mexican-Americans, frustrated by persistent discrimination and poverty, find a new way forward through social action and the building of a new “Chicano” identity.
