Cost: Free
The Free Family Arts and Literacy Connection series launches a new season of programs with San Diego Ballet’s presentation of Carnival of the Animals featuring classic ballet, hip-hop dance, giant puppets, and the choreography of artistic director Javier Velasco set to the music of French composer Camille Saint-Saens and world folk music from Argentina, South Africa, Brazil, Trinidad, and The Netherlands.
Velasco’s choreography features a dance interpretation that enlivens the familiar music of Saint-Saens and the witty poetry of Ogden Nash. Free tickets can be picked up at the Education Center information desk at 6605 University Avenue.
