The Kumeyaay inhabited the landscapes of northern Baja California and southern California long before European contact, originally making a living as mobile hunting, gathering, and fishing peoples in the region’s varied environments.
This talk by CSU San Marcos anthropologist Michael Wilken will explore some of the interaction between native peoples and native plants of our region and how these might shed light on prehistoric lifeways. Info, San Diego County Archaeological Society, 858-538-0935.
