The house of Norway is having a lawn program that includes a greeting and song from Sverre Tofte, who is the senior pastor at the Norwegian Seamen’s Church in San Pedro.
Great tunes from the 1800s to current jazz will be performed individually and as a trio by violinist Taylor Carlson, accordion player Laura Guererro, and saxophone player Torstein King. We will also hear from a special guest, Trine Nyheimer, president of the U.S. Chapter of ANSA, The Association of Norwegian Students Abroad.
The Seaman’s Norwegian Store will be selling Norwegian cheese, porridge, soups, candy, pickled fish, sauces, crackers, bread, and souvenirs -- authentic items you can’t find locally.
