Frank Sinatra's Centennial Year: Richard Shelton
With Frank Sinatra's 100th birthday this year, the U.S. Grant is celebrating one of the entertainment world's greatest legends with a weekend of performances, a three-night event with actor and singer Richard Shelton, accompanied by Sinatra's original bandmates.
Thursday, June 18: Behind Those Blue Eyes, a walk down memory lane with Ol' Blue Eyes’ original bandmates. Meet Mike Lang (piano), Chuck Berghofer (bass), and Gregg Field (drums), who each had the honor of sharing Sinatra’s stage and studio. Meanwhile, witness the transformation of celebrity actor and singer Richard Shelton into Sinatra.
On June 19, Shelton will sing Sinatra saloon songs with pianist Mike Lang on the keys. The June 20 show will re-create Sinatra’s 1974 Main Event concert, with a 12-piece orchestra.
