Culinary Historians of San Diego will present "Japanese Cuisine (Washoko) and Table Etiquette," featuring Mineko Takane Moreno, the Auditorium of the San Diego Central Library. Mineko Moreno will provide an introduction to a cuisine influenced through the use of chopsticks, from preparation to presentation. Moreno will also talk about the history of chopsticks and demonstrate how to properly eat and enjoy a meal using four senses. Mineko was raised and educated in Japan, where she received a degree in French, but turned to her lifelong passions of cooking and floral design after school. She has taught in many cooking schools, including New York City's New School and Rancho La Puerta in Mexico. She resides in La Jolla.
