Canyoneer Nature Walk: Del Dios Gorge Trail

Admire the steeply rising granitic walls of the Del Dios Gorge and the scattered willows and oaks along the San Dieguito riverbed on this five-mile round-trip hike. We will view the 1918 Lake Hodges Dam from the Rattlesnake Viewing Platform.
From I-5, exit west on Carmel Valley Road. Turn right (north) onto Del Mar Scenic Parkway. Go to the end of the road and park. No facilities. Allow 30 minutes driving time. (Map 1207-H1; GPS N32.938257, W117.252752)
