The Ebola outbreak of 2014 in West Africa has been the most devastating known, with approximately 6100 cases and 3100 deaths reported to date. The current outbreak is thought to have started in December 2013 in Guinea and has since migrated to Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and Senegal.
