History of U.S. Navy Seals in Coronado: Opening
Through photographs, vivid chronological displays of memorabilia, and actual equipment used in special operations — past and present — visitors will discover how the SEALs and Coronado have grown up together.
This exhibit is part of a larger exhibition organized by the San Diego History Center in Balboa Park, which involves ten different museums around the County focusing on the military’s influence on this region.
Explore the entire exhibition; visit all ten sites with a souvenir “Tour-of-Duty Passport,” which can be stamped at each location. Exhibit will run through January 2015.
The Navy SEAL Foundation was formed to support the U.S. Navy SEALs, the associated Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen, and Naval Special Warfare support personnel, as well as their spouses and children.
