A View of You: Self-Portrait
Design and create self-portraits using Picasso's approach to Cubism. In this early 20th century art movement, people and objects were painted from more than one viewpoint. This created the effects of abstracting real to unrecognizable. Start with this technique to learn more about the face and its proportions. A self-portrait from a mirror will follow. Students will have a firm understanding of portraiture drawing by the end of class. Materials list provided upon registration. Instructor Patricia Hyman. 619-223-0058.
