The February meeting of the Escondido Democratic Club will discuss district elections, which are expected to be used to elect Escondido’s City Council in 2014. John Smith from Common Cause will discuss the effort to reform how district boundaries are drawn. Anisha Dalal, who chaired a 2010 redistricting commission in San Diego, will review the process used by that group to independently draw district boundaries. Light refreshments will be served.
