Synoposis

Inception: San Diego, 2006

Current Status: They cancelled two summer 2007 tours due to lack of promotion and pay, but did manage to release their first album.

Background:

Screamo group Of Hearts and Shadows released their first full album Touching Base with a Chainsaw in autumn 2007 on the new label Tyburn Records. "We had two years worth of writing for this album," explains drummer Matt Williams about the sessions. "We were able to knock it out in three weeks -- we didn't have to sit and write a bunch of stuff."

"This band is about the future," explains guitarist Ricky Vazquez. "Five young guys who appreciate the music that came before, play the music of today, but are going to keep creating and stepping outside the box into the future. Music is the last free thing left to do. There are no limits, and that is going to allows us to grow with every album we put out."
