Background:

The Country Rockin’ Rebels were founded by singer-songwriter Tristan Luhrs and producer/guitarist Michael Head, whose first full-length CD together was called Tristan Luhrs - Sketches of San Diego.

The group played some of their earliest gigs in Ocean Beach, eventually recruting a full lineup including Mark Eppler (slide guitar), Willy Carmody (bass) and Steve Tahmahkera (drums).

The CD release show for their debut self-titled full-length (on Cabeza Records) happened December 21, 2011, at the OB Farmers Market.
