Will CivicSD approve Trump-like sign for old Sempra HQ?
Vanity branding is the perfect description for this signage. Why not add a 20 foot statue of "Papa" Manchester in the plaza to make absolutely sure everyone knows the primary tenant.— July 29, 2015 4:11 p.m.
Storytime on Broadway
Sounds like a nice improvement to the area. High density downtown makes sense. Unfortunately, it will probably be unaffordable to most San Diegoans.— June 5, 2015 8:44 p.m.
Keane eyes
I hope the movie stays true to the book, it was a tearjerker.— December 25, 2014 6:55 p.m.

Dogs Playing Poker, a classic and so ripe for a prequel. Were the dogs in the picture based on real dogs and what was their story?— December 25, 2014 6:37 a.m.
Blame the geeks
This project was definitely a white elephant for the city and I'm a strong believer in mass transit. It would seem our city council was hoodwinked once again. The salaries plus the total compensation packages for the top 20 employees does seem high. I wonder how they compare with other similar sized cities. I wonder if ridership numbers and overall service levels (rider surveys) are weighed when salaries are negotiated?— December 22, 2014 6:07 p.m.
North Park ElderHelp Facility to Get a Makeover
That's too bad. This was an excellent location near public transportation and other services for seniors. Elder Help is such a great organization, I wish them well in finding new funding and another central location.— April 3, 2014 11:22 a.m.
No pigeons, rats, broken windows
What a shame, this would be a great location for another unique, one of a kind store in Hillcrest. I think there's also parking.— April 1, 2014 6:19 p.m.
Burger King on El Cajon Boulevard exits North Park
The area is changing for the better. BK didn't seem all that bad just out of place on a changing street. Basically, as North Park changes so do the businesses.— December 12, 2013 8:09 a.m.
Hillcrest car-repair shop closure signals gentrification
It's about time. There's nothing wrong with having a car repair shop in the neighborhood IF they keep the place in good order. That did not seem to be the case with this business.— December 2, 2013 6:23 p.m.
North Park's F Street adult store property up for grabs
To bad, they were okay neighbors up until about a year ago when they started letting maintenance slip. The planters became overgrown, peeling paint and litter around the building. I wonder who will occupy the space?— November 8, 2013 5:24 p.m.
