Sacred Geometry: Mandala Art
Mandalas are balanced geometric patterns that are associated with religious and spirital traditions in the Buddhist and Hindu religions. Keeping the sacred balance of this tradition alive, two local artists, EXIST1981 and Alli Bautista, will create new Mandala works. Thumbprint Gallery will be hosting the upcoming art show “Sacred Geometry” at BASIC on March 19. There will also be a Pop-Up Boutique and Fashion Show presented by VIXEN productions.
EXIST1981 Exist1981 is a local underground artist, who started his education on the streets. His work is accessible and no matter the medium, the result is always a stunning, one of a kind work. Exist1981 incorporates complex layers, line-work and stenciling in his work. When asked about his current style, Exist1981 explains that “As I learn and change, my art evolves. The art I will create in the future will reflect my life experiences, musical influences and point of view for that place and time.” This constant change and variation creates a stimulating collection of artworks.
