It is, Rhyme-A-Day
See what others say!
Here is a new Blog, for folks that like to comment in Rhyme
to share with others, words that sound alike and have a fun time
Please consider, adding some words, that you write
I'm hoping, they all will be just, "out of sight"
Give each, of your comments a title, for a professional "look"
Who knows, maybe one day, they all will be published, in a great book
I look forward, to reading, all your comments
as I am sure, hopefully, they will make sense
- Rhyme-A-Day - 10-08-26
It makes me so happy, to say I write Rhyme, each and every day
Just let your words, express what you feel and see And in no time, you will be writing Poetry
Soon it will be, as easy as "rolling off a log" and then you too, will be another star on this Blog
And, if writing Rhyme, is too hard for you Then, I would suggest, writing a Haiku

Grace
I searched and then I found the place But then I had to run the race Sent fractures of self into space So hopeful! Perchance leave a trace? Of something that comes close to grace

Morning
I just awoke from a deep sleep, as if, through a wall, I did leap,
and what, is so really amazing, to me, is that, from nothing at all, I can now see!
As to where "I" did go or my thoughts did seep, all I know is, my bed now looks, like a heap.
I'm happy to "return", for another day, to explore "golly gee", I look upon it as, just another chance, to be all I can be!

Stress
Itself unseen, but Stress does leave, it's toll upon all enabling, Life's other woe's, to deepen their gall
Emotions enjoy, their magnified import as boisterous voices rise, to new retort
Even vision gets clouded as, many see red when extra blood is directed, into your head
Often, sudden anger makes one ready, to pounce and our muscles are only too willing, to trounce
Because Stress, can make so many things go wrong, in such a short while You should know, that to keep Stress in check, all you need to do is Smile

As I reflect, looking at, all that I have seen I now marvel, when viewing, my computer's screen
There is just so much new information, that makes me smile or frown that I usually use my computer, with the volume turned down
All the good and bad goings on, in the world becomes a blur each and every story goes past, without even a murmur
So many stories, articles and decisions, to make can be, just completely overwhelming, for heaven sake
I guess, I think of all the new info, like leaves in the Fall dropping all around me so deep, that I am happy, I'm tall

Maybe this, is what we all need, For all the dogs, that have just pee'd
Dog owners, will be required Unless, it's someone they've hired
To carry, a big hydration pack Making up, for something, we now lack
That they can use to dilute, their dogs pee Which is something, our grass would love to see

Have you ever suddenly been surprised and just wanted to smile causing your face to look, much more goofy, than it has in a while
This happens very often to me, more than you would think and the people who see me, often give me a big wink
This smiling can occur at any time of day and especially when I don't know what to say
Even I find myself, questioning my own smiling's timing like right now when I am, typing this and thinking of rhyming
I have seen it happen, to other folks who seem to brush it off as just great jokes
If this smile, has ever happened to you please let me know, what it is, that you do.

Words that can raise, one's own ire are those that I, most desire
Just imagine, a word causing great pain or better yet, even financial gain
Then, you put all those same words together, in some cute way and sit back, to see what all of the Readers, have to say
If others, also like, what you have done their comments will be nice and that is fun
But if others just don't get, what you have said that makes me feel like, I should have stayed in bed
My professional advice, which may to you sound absurd is it just makes sense to, enjoy playing with every word

Reply to #7 by nan I'm very happy you are a fan
I hope, you will soon take the time to answer me, in your own rhyme
Then we can both compare, what we say as we ponder, the rest of the day.
Here is something funny, you can try spin 'round three times and then close one eye
Pick a fun subject, you hold dear then write a Rhyme and post it here
Founder Sept. 5, 2010 @ 9:36 a.m.
-To Say Today -
I begin each new day and ponder what to say
My thoughts, just pop into my head as soon as I get out of bed
My mind, struggles to make some sense of it all while I, stumble around and try not to fall
Once I start, to write all my words down I become absorbed and rarely frown
Looking up, to reread what I have said it surprises me, where my thoughts have led
To me, each rhyme is like a new toy that's something fun to share and enjoy
Once I am done, I figure what the heck I've had my fun, now it's time for spell check
The only thing, left to do is post it, for all of you
Founder Sept. 6, 2010 @ 7:17 p.m.
This, should be real good that, is understood
Try until, I get canned unless I, am just banned
To share my thoughts, with all of you and figure out, just what to do
Some think, I'm as open, as a book while others, are sure, that I'm a rook
So I post here, just for you to see what your response comments, will then be
If you are interested, in what I've got to say then enjoy and let me know, that all this is OK
Or if your think this Blog is just too "Sick" then don't waste your time or give it a click
For me, it is real easy to write because I love to describe my plight
So, enjoy and don't get blue when, I share all this with you
Founder Sept. 7, 2010 @ 7:32 p.m.
An old friend, just called me on the phone amazing, as I was in my zone
It took me a second to shift, my mental gears in order to visualize them, despite the years
Once I got used to, hearing their voice the old times returned, I had no choice
The past times so long ago, that we had, shared the bounty reminded me to ask if he was now, in North County
Yes, he would be in town for a short spell I'm happy now, but only time will tell
So now I'm looking forward to seeing the old dude and I'm sure we will reminisce over some good food.

So now, to You, it might seem like you are, on your own with zip to do and no one to talk to, on the phone
Here is a very interesting suggestion, you might try, realize that you are now, working for an invisible Guy
As you know, he is very hard to please and gets mad, especially if you sneeze
Better get busy at your computer's keyboard right away doing something very creative, that will keep him at bay
We both know, your demanding Boss, is not someone to mock so you better, not let him catch you, staring at the clock
You have lots of new co-workers right now, depending on you to lead the way toward financial freedom, for them and you too
Your Boss is so good at identifying talent, he doesn't guess he knows that with some training and pushing you will be, a BIG success.

When the time comes for me to accept Thanks I usually turn kudos into pranks
I don't suggest, that receiving Thanks is a trial after all, I almost never, forget to smile
Those that, have known me for awhile often ask, why is that my style
When pressed for an answer, I then usually just say I'm always just thinking, can I do it a new way
In truth, I guess I am just not wired like all of the rest for me, I never think that I've given it my best
So when folks, applaud, what I have done I just think, of it, as having fun
And if the above, seems a weird way to acknowledge a Thank You please realize that I am now smiling because all of this is true

Our Economy Will hurt R & D
At San Diego State I'd say they're very late
Nobody will think it is funny When they all end up without money
No Professor that teaches at that School Wants any of his peers, to think he's uncool
They better start calling, everyone they all know And make it really clear, that they need some "REAL" dough
Founder Sept. 16, 2010 @ 1:10 p.m.
What is happening right now in our Great City due to poor Leadership, is such a big pity
All our poorer residents, have now started, to pout as the City announces, yet another, Brown out
Voters are now asking how come our Budget got so neglected and are angry when they learn that's how our Leaders got elected
Seems to get elected, they all needed the Big Unions OK but once in Office, they had to support, giving them lots more pay
Going Bankrupt should be a solution that is easy for the City to do except all our Leaders own Salary and Pensions would then be affected too!
So what solution are our Leaders now suggesting, for being so lax; just that all of US voters, should now approve an increase in our Sales Tax
If you are like me and think that these Leaders have a lot of gall then tell all your friends, don't forget to vote NO on Prop D this Fall!
Founder Sept. 18, 2010 @ 5:46 p.m.
I ask, "How can it be?" Reading what others see
Choosing their words so well Sure makes their Poetry swell
I'm sure it is something I lack Because when I write I'm a hack
But I don't let that get me down unless it makes all of you frown
Rhyming is not as easy as it looks even though it's found in hundreds of books
So I continue to struggle with each word I pick In the hopes that very soon I'll learn The Poets Trick
Writing words that make folks laugh, cry or just sigh is something that I think everyone should try
Writing out our "thought feelings" usually makes one feel Great And shifts both the Reader and Writer into a new State.

Reply to #34 PHD You have said, what is for many, hard to see
Voters, try and vote, for the best solutions but now, instead get, faulty Institutions
Maybe the old Board is afraid that someone will tell the tale and all their careful planning will now get them all into jail
If Prop R, is really the key to all of this the Board, must be scared, of their big money abyss
One thing, is for me, real sure The first to talk, is impure
So by asking far more questions, we all must to insure, no more waste, of the Public Trust

When taxpayers are getting hit, in the balls It's not the time to build Stadiums or Malls
It is sure to be a BIG WIN, for some Wealthy folks in the know but for the rest, it will be a place they cannot afford to go
With so many things to fix in Escondido why should voters choose to build a place they won't go
Remember this when you're voting this fall and be on the lookout for more Foul Balls

Worms crawl in and worms crawl out while never making a shout
They hungrily eat all of my waste never complaining about the taste
It is amazing how fast they multiply going about life without even a sigh
They come in many colors and types some even have bands but never stripes
Watching whenever worms wiggle along makes me wonder if they're singing a song
Watching them all move, each at their own beat just like great dancers, but without any feet
I call that writhing, twisting, shimmy, The Squirm because to do it, you have to be a worm

I really don't mind saying so For me it was a while ago
I did the math, thinking back to that 47th Party But could not remember who showed up and who was tardy
I do remember it was a day happier than the rest So on your next Birthday, I of course wish you all of the Best

I've been too busy, I say To compose a Rhyme each day
I wonder if I now consider that statement to be true When there are so many things I never get around to do
I seem to pick and choose as I please To single one out is such a tease
In my mind Rhymes continue to come and go But if I don't write them down they'll never show
So making Rhymes also requires some work But if they're very good it's such a perk
Re-reading some of the old Rhymes I have written Makes me wonder why with those words I was smitten
Like this very Rhyme I am writing right now Will I in the future think it is a Wow
Writing daily Rhymes from something I used to mutter Is for me more fun than playing Golf with a putter
So I sit here and wonder how to finish this one But at least I'm smiling because it's been so much fun

Reply to #13 It must have been quite the scene
I bet that old CV was the hot place to Be!
Now that old Leaders are sucking up the money the times in Chula Vista are not so funny
I hope the voters this time study the issues much more and if they do they'll kick the Greedy Leaders out the door.
Folks that really do care about the neighborhood where they live Only want the best for everyone there and know how to give
If the voters voted in some new Leaders to "shrink" their ills They would not need any "Preparation H" to deal with their bills

Reply #19 To go would be so keen
I'll practice my BOO And how about you
I wonder how many that are Rich Will then decide to go as a Witch
Would you show up as KFC I know there should be at least three
Maybe someone would send their jet for Don Bauder And he could come dressed up as the Man of the Hour
I bet many will go dressed up as a boater As for me I'll go as just another voter
Perhaps it would be better if you could To get dressed up and go as Robin Hood
If I show up in my beater Will they know I'm from the Reader
One thing you are sure to see is plenty of beef But I bet nobody shows up dressed up as a thief
Someone that's dressed up as big money Would not be viewed as very funny
If on the other hand you went as a cook Everyone would know you were really a crook
So ask all the very Wealthy folks you know To see if we can get invited to go

$WC needs new Leadership To fix it's education $LIP
Why vote for more of the $AME Don't be fooled by their old "Game"
$WC's Board is "out of touch" All these stories show just how much
What's important is what Students learn Instead of what Board Members earn
When Voters decide, to kick out the old Guard They will get rid of, lots of $WC LARD
Before you vote, talk to $WC students you know I'm sure they will tell you, the Old Board has to Go
If you are not sure of just who is telling all the lies Why not visit $WC and then see with your own eyes
Why is their Board using the College funds To make money for private Foundations

Promotion of a "Culture of Fear" Is against everything I hold Dear
A whole school year ago Tell me it is not so
What an huge educational waste $WC's Board leaves me with distaste
The question now is just what to do I wonder if anyone will sue
Now is the time for all of the Students to speak out And turn the Boards re-election plans into a rout

Have any thoughts about Judge Meyer's Is he good at putting out big fires

Prop D is for Delay That is what you all say
I think all of you are right This case is really a fright
Putting this Big Case off until after the election Will make some of them as happy as an erection
Now the legal wheeling and dealing will start Something in San Diego smells like a fart
Who knows what's happening behind closed doors Hopefully they're not hiring any whores
They now have more time to look for loopholes But they are now really afraid of moles
Who knows what each of them will do And who will be the next to sue
By putting off the Big Case until just after the vote They'll have longer to decide who will be their escape goat
I bet they all are calling in every favor Looking for some eleventh hour Big Case saver
In the end I guess it will just all come down to money But the voters will not find the large settlement funny

The Educational Pipeline at $WC is clogged With all of the fiscal "PORK FAT" that their OLD Board has Hogged

Now the only thing that Voters can do that may provide a fix Is to give the old Board members seeking re-election the NIX
Everyone knows Pork only belongs on a spit and NO College Board should treat its students like shit

When our Librarians now retire with a HUGE City Pension** I can understand why they do not want it given a mention
This gives us all a new insight into those that handle our books Because their Pensions are now so large many think of them as Rooks
For all your Readers that this info comes, as a really big bad shock Check the provided link and you'll learn why, San Diego is in hock
So Don, keep doing what you do with your Flair for Flare When it comes to wealthy Librarians, we all care

Reply #31 What you're drinking sounds like fun
I'm sure that "NPrick" Will love your word trick
I bet it was easy for you to say It's the funniest comment of the day
He will grow, in NP fame Everyone, will know his name
I'm sure, that his new moniker, will stick Good thing, his real name's not something, like Dick
I bet he will laugh And not have a calf
Why get mad or start to cuss Because now he is Famous
While some may think it is sick I say, "All Hail NPrick"

Reply #33 I guess this is hard to "SEE"
I'll now try to make this really clear When folks drink to much wine, liquor or beer
The trouble is not inside the Bars It occurs on the way to Patrons cars
That is happens almost every "Late night" Is something that gives neighbors a big fright
Living in North Park certainly has its share of perks But that sure does not include dealing with drunken "Jerks"
When this happens over and over it really makes you sick That is why it is bugging everyone including NPrick

Reply #43 Now we're really up a tree
Since the City is now drowning in RED INK And City Hall has started to really $TINK
The most important question now for US is Who to Call Does anyone know someone that will not FUMBLE the ball
We need to find someone that is NOT on the Public Dime Like a Legal Plumber that is used to dealing with $LIME
If they could help US recover just some of what we lost It surely would be well worth it at whatever the cost
I'm sure that there are a few well qualified Lawyers with all the right skills It would take time but I bet the Voters would be happy to pay their bills
As for me I now think it would be worth any cost To recover even part of what we have lost
If I was asked to suggest to them for a great place to start I'd say pick the Guacamole Bowl Stadium DEAL apart
But they probably don't need to ask me what to do Since they already would be experts in how to SUE
Things in our City have now gotten so bad Maybe we all should chip in and run an ad

Reply to All Prop D did Fall
Now is a great time Too rejoice in Rhyme
I dreamed last night of the Prop D bout Now I'm glad to find it was a rout
Just like all of us taxpayers, our City Leaders now have to work Its time to declare Bankruptcy and cut the Pension fat with a dirk
Carl DeMaio and Aguirre will now both probably led the way We all need to consider everything they and others have to say
Our Mayor must now listen to US instead of just his Wealthy friends If he accepts the will of the people it's now time to make amends
Let's hope he is strong enough to stop selling his soul By doing secret deals like the New Stadium Guacamole Bowl
Now is the time to spend less time playing golf with his putter and get to work pulling San Diego out of the gutter
All City and Redevelopment money needs to help US get out of BIG debt If we consider all options not just promote for Pensions we can win this bet
Let's now work together to get rid of Pity We all only want what's best for our Great City

Now that your work has been posted You wonder if you'll get roasted
It will be interesting to read each comment Especially if they are apt and not too bent
Considering all the words you had to leave out Would make almost all of the lesser writers pout
But writing takes effort like rowing a dory Maybe this new one will be THE Glory Story

This is easy for me I've planned it out you see
North Park's tiny Library Would no longer be scary
When my ship comes in It'd be a has-been
I'd fund a private Library that was tall That was never subject to Brown Outs at all
It would teach the City what can really be done If greed is replaced with Educational Fun
It would be state of the Art and all Free And cover everything from A to Z
You could access it all the time For those like me that like to Rhyme
Plus for everyone that loves Haiku I'd make sure it was some shade of Blue

Number Sixty Nine, chime I'm Writing another Rhyme
I admit it has taken me some time But many of them are as cool as rime
Makes me feel like a mime Trying to add some lime
To others they all may not be worth a dime But to me each of them helps describes who I'm

Quoting from your own work Would drive some berserk

Jonathan Wadley Please don't get sadly
Winter is the best time of year You're very lucky to be here
Blue skies and almost no bugs No humidity or rugs
Now there are so many deals to be had Finding a better place will not be bad
North Park is not very swampy or windy And we have a different kind of Indie
Your goal is now in sight I know you'll do what's right
After you move just a little bit more You'll be living in 92104

Beat both of your feet To 30th Street
It's a great place to meet And get something to eat
Enjoyed with or without MSG 30th Street is THE place to be
From way up North to way down South You'll find treats to put in your mouth
So the next time you are ready for a lark Grab a few friends and come on up to North Park
Founder Dec. 4, 2010 @ 5:06 p.m.
What is now happening here So many living in fear
During the 60's we all tried to help each other It wasn't just something you learned from your own mother
Now for folks there are almost no good jobs If you listen close you can hear the sobs
Looking for a good job is real tough on the feet But that's not as bad as having nothing to eat
There are so many that are in this situation That it is changing the image of our great nation
We all need to work together again And start treating each other like our kin
We The People control our own fate Our Country was not built upon hate
Even those Managers on Wall Street will see the light When they watch their investors money start to take flight
Each of US must tell our Leaders of our aim And remind them that this is no greedy game
If we all can call our Leaders each and every day Soon they will have to listen to what we have to say
Its time for each of US to take a stand And give our fellowman a helping hand
Founder Dec. 19, 2010 @ 1:22 p.m.
Are all of our Leaders out of their minds Helping themselves while putting US in binds
We elected them to do a good job for US But now it seems all we can ever do is cuss
What is now happening in the USA Many are thinking that we have lost our way
So just where is our great Country bound Now that jobs are nowhere to be found
Our Leaders are making lots of big deals While our People are having to skip meals
They smile for the camera without shame While at the same time they are the blame
If you are not Rich or a Corporation You have little say in running our Nation
I doubt Leaders even care about US or what we think Unless they want donations or get caught in a real stink
Our last election we voted for Change as the right way to go Now many are begging for any change because they have no dough
While our Leaders discuss how they need ever more money To all those struggling to make ends meet that's not funny
Things will be very different in our next election Voters won't support a greedy candidate selection
So my advice to all Leaders fearful of a recall You better start doing what's right and getting on the ball
Founder Dec. 21, 2010 @ 1:53 p.m.
Thinking of many words that rhyme is a kick Getting them to display is another trick
It is one thing to conceive of words so they mean just what you want to say Another entirely new problem is having them appear that way
Once you are finished going back and forth so it is done Then that is the time to remind yourself that this was fun
Founder Dec. 22, 2010 @ 6:31 p.m.
