walking

watching

two

load motorcycles

onto a truck

stop and talk

about bikes

changes

provokes

feelings

of riding

crashing

invincibility !

almost all

lost in years ago

bounced around

over hills and through trees

yamaha

suzuki

recalls

a ride

memory

of a morning

pelting rain

to see her

veronica

the girlfriend

that said...

i'm sorry

around eleven

the night before

choosing not to stop

sped up, to say good-bye

met another

a night later

but will never forget

that

motorcycle.

At least they multiply before they depreciate.

I know that feeling of invincibility all too well, but have lived long enough to see more than one of my friends lose their lives or their bikes. Sobers you.
